Westside Restaurant & Lounge in Alden

The food was delicious as always, our service was not the best last night. Couldn't tell of they we're understaffed, or our gal was just having a bad night, but we weren't in a big rush so it didn't impact us too much! On nice weather days, I love their patio/beer garden. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! The neighborhood is super cute, so if you make dinner reservations, show up early so you can walk around and visit the shops before they close! It is a smaller restaurant, so dinner reservations are recommended, but they do have a wait list! This location is also a short drive from West Bottoms where there are a few places to grab a drink and shop at as well!

Four of us had a Saturday lunch at Westside Local. Pictured: the amazing grilled cheese sandwich/add-on bacon and tomato soup. We shared parmesan fries as an appetizer; they come with 3 dipping sauces. Another member of our party had the veggie burger. She said it was the best she'd ever had.

We made reservations a few days in advance and were seated right away upon arrival. The space outdoors had plenty of shade and so cute! Service was awesome and their burgers are some of the best I have had in kc!

Miranda went above and beyond to make our experience unparalleled. Highly recommend this place and ask specifically for Miranda because she is a top class server. Drinks and food were amazing and service was great!!

Great local spot! The elote tots are a meal on their own but I also got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. So delicious and so full!!

Excellent example of farm-to-table done right! Order the Summit Burger with a side of their chili soup. It was absolutely delicious. The Elote Tater Tots were a great twist on a classic diner side dish. Great job!

First time and we loved it. The food was so fresh and had so much flavor. The atmosphere was relax and the service was outstanding. Definitely will be coming back!

I love this place. I actually had the best breakfast omelette ever. The eggs were done on point, but the sausage inside were amazing. It was a bit spicy for me but the flavor was so good. I highly recommend this place. Parking could be a problem because only street parking is available. So come early!

Had the tomato soup and grilled cheese. Grilled cheese was great, tomato soup is like marinara sauce. You can get better tomato soup from Campbell's in the grocery store. Parking is terrible. Ambience is nice.

My weird hippy/vegan/gluten free/ mediterranean friends love this place. But so do I. I only say the first part, because I know those friends are super picky and I take them here and they LOVE it. Not hard to see. Staff is funny and super kind. They didn't have a dish I wanted, so the waitress asked the chef if he cooked mix up something else. It was delicious. Love this place

One of the Best Mac N Cheese’s in Town, but very Expensive for what you receive. Perfectly Crisp Fries. Staff is usually Nice. Service Speed is Average at best. Clean Establishment. When not packed it’s cozy. 3 Stars bc their Burger Quality has gone downhill (the last 3 time they failed to cook a burger Med-Rare after multiple attempts each visit. Just overall presentation is great. Prices are high. I always leave disappointed!

If you hate kale, the kale salad will make you like it. If you love kale, this will be your favorite salad. The burgers are one of the best. Soft buns and tender burger...can't wait to eat it again.

Burger was fantastic l... got the Caprese Burger, definitely recommend, our server was Sarah, and she was absolutely Great!! Cool atmosphere, would definitely recommend coming here, Loved it

What an AWESOME selection of drinks and food! The jalapeno bacon wrap grilled cheese is AMAZING. So far NONE of the food has been less than awesome! Price seems high but once your enjoying something so wonderful you're more than willing to pay the price! Also it's a cute spot in a cute part of town!

This place was delicious! My husband and I had the best burgers of our lives! I got the vegetarian burger which was phenomenal with the fries (to die for). My husband got a burger with bourbon bqq, bacon, and jalapeno ranch. Cute spot with exposed brick and the sweetest server!!

This is a cool place! The service was fantastic. The vibe is chill. The food is very good and very generous portions. Not sure how else I can describe how much I like this place.

The food is amazing! It is definitely one of those places where no matter what I try, it is really delicious. They also feature an inventive drink menu that changes with the season. The staff has always been great. There's also a pretty sweet patio.

This restaurant and bar is a hidden gem in KC’s Westside neighborhood! Lovely food, great friendly service, and a very cool vibe. Street parking is available although it can be tight during mealtimes. Prices are somewhat high but the food is great. They use local sources and promote local alcohol like boulevard beer. They have three dining or drinking options: inside, in the bar, or outside on the patio (which is covered). The hummus is great and the cauliflower soup and kale salad were delicious. Check it out!

This place had potential but we were left disappointed. The jalapeno jam burger had no jalapeno heat and no jam sweet. The lemonade needed more fizz. The antipasti board was almost all far too sweet. The meatloaf was great. Slight tweaks to everything could have made this all fantastic.

Had a great lunch experience here! My friend and I had never been here, and the food was very good. The mimosas were very good. Great service, friendly employees.

I absolutely love this place. I love the seasonal menu, the wait staff are very kind, and it's a warm/cozy intimate environment. The elote tator tots were to die for and the chocolate coconut bread pudding was worth being reanimated just to eat it and die once again. 10/10

Amazing quality of food, friendly service, fair prices, and very dog-friendly! The patio was beautiful and shaded, perfect for brunch with our friends and their dog. It was difficult deciding what to eat because everything on the menu looked so good. Their burritos were really big, and I had an omelette. All ingredients were tasty, fresh, and picture-worthy.

Enjoyed a wonderful post-Thanksgiving meal here with the family. We had several of the entrees and a couple of the drinks. All very tasty. Watch out for the loaded tots..... They have a kick.

This was a delicious restaurant! Falafel sandwich was best I’ve ever had! Grill cheese & grilled cheese with bacon was very good too. Arugula salad was delicious! Service was fabulous!! Great (comfort) food here at Westside Local! Burgers and grilled cheese and a salad around our table. And desserts! The (warm) brownie and plate of apple fritters hit the spot!! We'd forgotten how good this place is... We'll be back!

I love the Westside local! It’s a hip place in Westside North in KC.True to the words ‘farm-to-table’. The food was great & they have soft buns with the burgers. Highly recommend the Summit Burger! 🍔

Tripped across this great find trying to take some friends that work at Union Station to some where nearby for lunch. Damn fine food with some interesting twists. Lunch salads, soup, charcuterie, wraps, all on point. Good service and reasonable prices, especially considering the quality and farm to fresh focus.
